Veterinary Dermatology of New England is located in Westford Massachusetts. Dr. Laurie Stewart and her staff at Veterinary Dermatology of New England specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of dogs with allergies and disorders of the skin, ears, hair, and nails.

Experienced in the diagnosis and treatment of allergic skin disorders and infectious and non-infectious skin diseases.

Dermatologic conditions also include chronic and recurring ear inflammations and infections, parasitic skin diseases, autoimmune disorders, internal disorders with skin manifestations, hormonal imbalances, scaling disorders, hair loss, drug eruptions, and cancers of the skin. Any animal with skin problems should see a Board-Certified Veterinarian of Dermatology for an examination and evaluation.

Pertinent records from your primary veterinarian along with previous blood work and diagnostics should be forwarded prior to your appointment. It is a good idea to bring any bottles of shampoo, pills, and other medications that have been used to treat the skin disorder along with current medications that your pet is on for other conditions.

At Veterinary Dermatology of New England, we offer authentic products that are veterinarian recommended and approved. We carry hundreds of products, including quality prescription medications, flea and tick preventives, chronic medications, specialty pharmaceuticals, and leading nutritional products.

Dr. Laurie Stewart, VMD, Diplomate, ACVD

Board-Certified Veterinary Dermatologist

Dr. Stewart is a Board-Certified Veterinarian of Dermatology. Dr. Stewart received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire’s Life Science and Agricultural Pre-veterinary program, and her veterinary medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.

After graduation from veterinary school, she interned at Rowley Memorial Animal Hospital in Springfield Mass, then practiced at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital and Tufts University where she completed her residency in veterinary dermatology.

Dr. Stewart became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Dermatology in 1990. After spending eight years at Tufts University teaching and practicing veterinary dermatology, she opened her own clinic in 1995.

Dr. Stewart owns and operates Veterinary Dermatology of New England, which is located in Westford, Massachusetts.

Client Care Specialist

Claudia is the first smiling face our clients and patients see when they enter our clinic. Claudia has been working in the veterinary field for three years, and is studying to be a Veterinary Technician.

Claudia has a lifelong love of animals, and has two rescue dogs, JJ and Nova, a Siamese cat named Pim, a feisty feline named Mojo, and a Bearded Dragon named Da Vinci. 

She grew up in Nashua, NH and enjoys travel, working, outdoor activities, and spending time with family and friends.

Fran

CVT VTS(ECC)

Fran is a licensed Veterinary Technician Specialist. She spent most of her career at the Cummings Animal Medical Center at Tufts University, specializing in Emergency and Critical Care, Hemodialysis and Plasma Exchange. Her major field of interest for the past 8 years has been surgery and anesthesia. Fran oversees  our anesthetic procedures here at Veterinary Dermatology of New England.

Fran lives in Central  Mass with her son, and her rescue dogs Saoirse and Ralphie, cat Atticus Finch,  chickens, fish and honeybees.

Kiley

Veterinary Technician

Kiley became a veterinary technician when she graduated from Becker College in 2020 with her Pre-Veterinary Science and Veterinary Technology degrees.
Kiley has a rabbit named Basil, as well as two cats, Archie and Lavender.

Kiley has always had a profound love for animals, and grew up with birds, fish, hamsters, mice, dogs, guinea pigs, and tortoises. 

In her free time Kiley likes reading, taking her cat for walks, and spending time outside.

Rachael

Veterinary Technician

Rachael is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a degree in Animal Sciences. Rachael has a passion for all types of animals, especially cats.

While in university, Rachael completed two internships here at Veterinary Dermatology of New England, and developed a strong interest in helping animals with dermatologic problems. 

Rachael has been an integral part of our clinic staff since her graduation in 2020.

In her free time, Rachael enjoys spending time with family and friends. She enjoys walks with her three rescue dogs, Casper, Thunder and Rock, as well as playing with her feline furbabies (too many to name!).

Rachael also enjoys watching sports, and spending time outdoors.

Bonnie

Bonnie

Bonnie studied accounting at Florida Community College in Jacksonville, and has been working in the Accounting field ever since.  In the late 90s she branched out on her own, helping small businesses with their accounting needs, allowing them to focus on growing their businesses. Bonnie joined Veterinary Dermatology of New England in the fall of 2022, allowing the team to put all of their focus on the animals, while she handles the business side.

When she’s not working, Bonnie loves spending time with her family, and being creative in her art studio.

Saki

Saki is a retired Guide Dog for the Blind, and has a special place in our Clinic. She greets all our patients politely, provides love to the staff, and makes sure there is never an excess of cookies lying around!
